I used to use ARC and had many thread breaks.
Now I use ISACORD and ISALON (both 40 wt) and Madeira (60 wt).
If I get a break now, it's definitely design related (i say that with
great confidence)
In addition, I added a "dehumidifier" to my shop and run about 50% rh.
I believe this has also helped as well.
