If you place a horizontal chalk mark at the top and bottom of where the design will be and a vertical where they overlap you use those for reference. Then when you digitize the design, put a manual stitch in those 3 places on both halves of the design. When you trace you can line up the laser with those points so your design will match. That's a simplified version. Don't be afraid, it's not that hard. Steve I.
