John,
Included in the 4 million stitch count inspection are instructions to check
all the rollers BUT, there is always a but isn't there........if you are
like the rest of us,  you probably have a favorite place on the thread
palette for the most used colors. Black, white, red, blue, metallic thread,
etc. These need checked for nicks, cuts or groove wear,wax build up,
etc.,more often and replaced if defects are found.

I  have not found a magic number of stitches to roller replacement but I do
know that just one good slit can start causing problems. Murphy's law says
that at the worst possible time the roller will turn over and line itself up
with the thread, pick it up and make a mess.....

Thread breaks, needle breaks, or a miss trim, where it may stretch the
thread across the design, are grounds to immediately check the roller on the
needle being used at the time.
