So basically, the higher the nimber you add, the farther apart the columns
stitch??? So if you have a fabric for instance that would have a spandex in
it, you would increase the number??? Is this a correct perception??

  Thanks!

I'll take a quick sho= t at this one,
Pull comp is the computer adjusting columns to a wider width so that they a=
ppear
to be the size you wanted originally but won't be because they shrink when =
sewn,
depending on the material sewing on and it's stability.

imagine a column that's 1" wide on your screen and has been digitized to be=
one inch wide.
but when you sew it might only measure out to be 8/10th of an inch wide. do=
esn't sound to bad
but when you get down to small lettering and the column is only 1/64th of a=
n inch wide
imagine what happens to it. have you sewn small lettering and afterwards th=
e letters
look so thin and spindly? it's because the columns shrink. as the stitch go=
es into one side
then jumps into the other side of the fabric it catches under at the bobbin=
and then
heads back to the other side that pulls the threads tight and draws both si=
des together
effectively shrinking the distance between the two sides, Which is the "Pul=
l" they speak of.

adding pull comp moves the needle penetrations farther apart from each othe=
r so that they pull back to
original size you intended.

I hope this makes a little sense I might be off a little on some of
my explanations but I'm sure someone on the list with more knowledge
will chime in and straighten me out!! : )
