Consider using a smaller needle, such as the 65/9 ball point and increase your 
density values.  You may have to experiment with your density values until you 
get something that still had adequate coverage but doesn't put the needle 
penetrations so close together.  Also be sure you aren't using too much 
underlayment stitches as well.  You guessed it,... more needle penetrations.
