Ron, How did this go? I meant to send a postcard but never did get to it (wanted to go buy one from Sacramento Area). Anyway, I did get my cousin from Pais to send one (hopefully). Is it too late to try again (obviously I kept the email to remind me to do this)? I am asking for help on behalf of my son. This isn't embroidery related. but I feel like I am a member of a large family that encompasses the world by being a part of this users group. My 7 year old son Cameron, is currently working on some geography lessons in 2nd grade. We were talking about the fact that life goes on everyday in all parts of the world, by many people just like us that only know the world from their little corner of it the same way we view it. Then, I had an idea. Cameron LOVES getting mail, and he completely flipped when I brought home an envelope with stamps from Japan on it from something I had ordered online. It was great to see his eyes light up as he started to understand the concept of other people in other places going about their daily business just like he does. What I am asking is, anyone who has the time and doesn't mind spending the money on a stamp or two and you wouldn't mind sending a postcard or even an empty envelope to Cameron! Then, we are going to track them on our world map and see how many places we hear from. This is open to everyone, people in any countries including the US. Even if your right down the street! If you have friends or family out of the area that may be interested in helping out. That would be great! The more the merrier and the bigger our map community gets. His teacher want them to collect family members locations as a starting point, and I thought maybe we could take it a step farther! Just so anyone knows, this is in no way a marketing thing, or something that you have to put thought into, you don't have to write a note or anything, you don't even have to put your name if you don't want to, as long as somewhere it said the city name and country so that we can show this mail that we received from somewhere else and then find it on the map! Thanks to everyone in advance that may help out. It's great to have a group like this to interact with. I am sorry for getting off the embroidery subject, I hope I haven't offended anyone.
