I had the same thing, I called Melco, and held the phone up to my machine...
It's a loose cable up underneath the, mines grey, plastic cover. You need some
sort of tool they will send you and you tighten up the cable...haven't heard it
since.

I have 1 machine that just started groaning late yesterday when the needle
case moves. No clicking or popping noise like it might do when not in
alignment with the gears, just a groan like maybe something needs
lubricating. I do more than the scheduled notifications of oiling and lubing
the machines, so is there a place I don't know of that may need some
lubrication or what might be causing this? I don't want to cause further
