Although your stitch count is low for a full jacket back, I still think the
pricing given in the previous posts si low. Rod Springer always reminds us not
to forget all the time it takes to maintain our machines and to prepare for the
order. I usually begin with $1/1000 stitches (not including digitizing) and
then look at the complexity of the hooping etc. Here is a quote from our John,
our site administrator:
"Full Jacket backs are pretty expensive and time consuming. How long do you
anticipate this will take to layout & design, test sew, and sew.
Once you add all that up and know what your time is worth, then you can start
pricing.
It's not unusual for digitizing of a full back to run $75-100 (or more) alone."

Ha, I just got quoted...
Bottom line, we sew every design out 2-3-4 times to make adjustments and make
sure its going to look right. With jacket backs that would mean 60k times at
least two and more likely 3. When you add time, materials etc, 30-40-50 bucks
for the design sounds pretty low. More like at least 60 for the sew out
(probably more) and if it's a one off, even more because you can't recoup your
setup costs. Personally, the last thing I want to do is a one off full jacket
back. I'd rather be running 100 polos any day.
