So are you saying I was right? :). Anyway, I think K for a thousand might pertain to computers...We do know that computers and computer lingo rewrote large parts of the American lingo.

I haven't got a clue where 'k' for a thousand came from... MM is either 2 thousand or a chocolate treat...LOL... I don't even think k is from metric either- millimeter, centimeter, etc.- no 'k' meter.... my other graphic associates (paper printers, publishers, etc.) all use M for thousand, same with ad specialty pricing. Anyone know where the 'k' for thousand came from?
