This is not a Design Shop specific post as I am new to embroidery. I have a variety of commercial animation rendering packages but there is a rendering package available for free that I have used elements from in various artworks much more than I thought I would over the last few years. It is called Daz Studio and is available as a free download at daz3d.com. It provides a very quick way to render people, animals, etc., and it is nowhere near the learning curve to use that the more sophisticated (and costly) packages are. I have already used some renderings from that software as the background image in my initial attempts at digitizing with Design Shop. The biggest advantage is the ability to quickly change a pose of whatever you are rendering (like a horse or other animal).
