Subject: [amayausers] Hoop - Hooping Question

There are many things out there called polymesh -
Polymesh is a misnomer - most of them are really nylon.
As a very general rule
One layer of a 1.5 oz fusible "no show" embossed nylon mesh should hold
approx 6-8,000 stitches of a medium density stitch count.
(Some out there like "soft and sheer" or "weblon" are not as stable and are
only 1.3 ozs.)

If you need to do more stitches - 2 layers cross patterned will give you a
very stable field into which you could put 20-25,000 stitches.

Please feel free to e-mail me off list if you want samples

Sincerely
Fred
