Hi Sandra,

 Your posts are going through, you probably do not have the Echo option 
turned on in your settings for the Freelists.org setup so your posts are not 
sent to you as you are the poster.

The Hook Type setting is on the Timers TAB. Go to Settings, then click on 
the TAB Timers.

 A coated hook is black in the area the bobbin case is inserted into, and is 
what comes on all new XT machines. If your machine is an older machine, 
unless the hook was changed recently, it will be all silver, or non-coated.
