Mark, You may try a edge walk underlay. It will help make your letters nice and crisp. You have to take into consideration your font size as well. If you are trying to do small lettering sometimes the edge walk will show on small fonts. I typed it exactly opposite. Basically the letters look skimpy, not full. I have to click the pull comp up to 220 on a Full Block style font and that doesn't look as full as I would like. If so I think you have to digitize the letters that way. But if that was a typo in your message and you want smoother edges and denser fills then you can increase density about 10% without too much trouble. So, for example, if the default density is 4 you can increase it to 3.6. You might have to add a little more pull comp if you start getting thread breaks. Also, I find that using a 65/9 needle and 60 wt thread allows me to increase density a bit more. And make sure you have short stitches activated. Is this what you had in mind? I was wondering if there is anyone with a guide or a chart on the settings for the fonts or most basic type of font settings. IF I use the fonts as in my design shop from the drop down menu they simply do not look full enough. I would desire the edges of the fonts to look more like saw toothed rather than smooth and full. I know that ther are many factors to consider but I basically sew on 6oz. Pique. What combinations work the best as far as settings and backings? Thank you Mark Houston
