Try a fill stitch underlay at 1mm spacing. Try using 1 layer poplin backing 1 layer heavy cutaway. Try and make the complex fill at 45 degree angle. ( This will also help the lettering if any sit well with a center or edge run underlay on top of the fill better) When filling make sure that the fill runs from one end to the other and does not start at one end fill to the centre and then go to the other end and fill back to the centre. This will help avoid fabric pushing through in the middle of the fill. In my personal opinion putting tearaway on top of the medium and ripping it off Could cause registration problems Edges of the fill could have tearaway showing. Youd waste time waiting for the fill to finish to get the tearaway out of the way before continuing with the design Anand What's a 4 partition fill stitch? On the fill stitch issue in general... we had an issue where a logo we did wasn't covering especially well, and Ron V. (I think it was Ron) told us to try putting tear away on top of the fabric in addtion to the backing on the bottom. The tear away provided a smooth enough surface for the stitching to cover great - and look great too. Never would have thought of doing that. Wouldn't underlay help too?
