Thanks for the reply Ed. It is my understand that the six needle machines are
considered "semi-commercial." But nonetheless, they don't do everything I
want. I have looked at the Bravo machine but I think it starts to approach the
Amaya XT--can you tell me what features are missing on the Bravo that the Amaya
has?

  Kathy,
I believe the EP-4 does NOT have a cap driver available for it. So most caps
will be out of the picture.

I'm also certified to service Brother machines including the PR 600/620 and I
can tell you that this particular machine was designed for the home sewer and
not necessarily the commercial sewer. That's not to say folks aren't using
them in a commercial enviornment but the machines may not fare as well over the
long haul.

If you're looking to have better features but don't want to spend bigger
bucks, consider the Amaya BRAVO machine. It costs about what you paid for your
Brother machine(s) but is very much a commercial machine. I'm afraid you might
find the EP-4 a step back from your Brother machines as it is smaller and
limited in it's features.

  Wishing you luck,
  Ed

Does anyone on this list have this machine? If so, what do you think about
it. I currently have two Brother/Babylock six needle machines and along with
everything else I do they are working out great for me. But, on occasion, I
would like to do a bigger jacketback design than my machine allows. It seems
that the EP4 will do that. Also, I'd like a little bit bigger hat area as
well. So, I don't want to spend too much as these are just "desired" add-ons.
If you have this machine what problems have you had and do you think it would
be worth adding to my shop?
