Are you sure that's not "Do not change horses in the middle of the race??"
I guess no one wants to fall into a stream and get wet either. LOL
By the way, I'm a Chevy guy.

Hi Bebe,

I probably am not the right person to answer this for you as I am biased
and work for Melco.

A couple of questions for you? Do you digitize now? Are you familiar enough
with the Melco software that if you were to try the Wilcom software on a
trial basis you could determine the differences? If so, ask the Wilcom team
to give you a system for a 30 day free trial and do your own comparison.

If you are not familiar with digitizing, and really do not know either
software, then perhaps some other thoughts.

The Wilcom software does not make Melco OFM files. You would loose the
extras that are built into OFM files just for Amaya machines. If you have
been making files, and setting the Speed, thread feed etc. and using the
Setting "Use Machine Settings from Design", you will not longer be able to
do this. If you would like to be able to in the future, this would not be an
option.

It is like asking a Ford owner which car is best. He is going to tell you
Ford. I contend, that any of the embroidery software on the market is able
to do the job correctly. It all gats down to personal preferences and what
you get used to. Do you want to go through another learning curve to learn
Wilcom when you have been learning Melco? Why do that, it only is going to
put more strain and slow down the learning process you have already started.

There is a saying that applies here, "Do not change horses in the middle of
the stream".

Just my take on it, for what it is worth.
