The one thing I found out was when you
change the color, make sure you don't just hit "OK"
make sure you hit "apply" first then "OK"
that is the process that sends the new info to the machine,
otherwise it doesn't go until the design resets (I believe)
until then you have to change the needle case manually if it is
already sewing that color but then the next time it will be correct.
If you don't know that is the needle button (top right) and the directional
arrows, you have to hold down the needle button while pushing the left
or right button.

I think everyone must be watching sports tonight since there isn't much
chatter out there tonight. I wish I could say I've been able to watch
something this afternoon, but, I've been baby sitting "Her Highness", Miss
Amaya!!! All last week I stitched up some animal designs that stitched up
beautifully( Moose in a diamond...Snowy Own in a diamond...Lake Loon in a
diamond, bear in a diamond and more) without hardly any thread breaks, but
today a different story and the funny part is they all are designs from
Emblibrary, so the digitizing should be pretty much the same. Today it started
when the red pinch roller kept thowing the thread on needle #2 to the left and
then naturally causing a birds nest under the needle plate. It was stitching
trees and this continued every 25 seconds until all 6 trees were done.
Needless-to-say, each time I would have to cut the excess thread away from the
bottom of the design and clean out the bobbin case. EACH AND EVERY
TIME...something like 25 times ( I think I lost count). I even left for a
while to cool down and cook supper. I tried changing needles, MT, bobbin, and
as a last resort, moved the #4 green color to a different location; I also
changed it on the computer (from spool holder #2 to #7) but when I hit the
start button, it continued to sew on spool #2; it didn't recognized that I
changed the position for color #4. Is there something else you need to do
besides go into color sequence location? It did SHOW the change on the right
hand side of the screen. I even took out the yellow roller and greased the
hub!! I can't hardly believe it was the design, since part of the stitching
was simple ordinary fill...nothing exotic. I guess my two questions are...how
do I get the machine to recognize that I've moved the thread spool to another
spool holder and go to that needle when stitching resumes. #2) Anyone know
why the pinch roller kept thowing the thread to (my) left of the roller? I
changed from a MT of 5 to a 4 (since it looked like too much thread was coming
out of the top hole down to the red pinch roller) and nothing changed then when
I went up to a 6 it really acted up, so I stayed at 5. I was stitching on a
fleece blanket with 2 oz cutaway backing and clear solvy on top. THANKS FOR

I talked to a friend of mine and he suggested using stitch witchery, I
didn't want to use an iron on the microfiber so I melted some on a spoon,
heated up the tip of a flathead screwdriver (so it wouldn't cool it off) and
smeared it over the backside of the hole flattened it out with the spoon and
you would never know the hole was there. I got lucky on this one.

It might cost a little to play with it but if your willing and
are going to replace the garment anyway, I have a trick to try.
Maybe you'll get lucky and save it.
If you can close the hole up and it is hard to see on the front
then this may work, if the best you can do still leaves a noticeable
hole then this won't help you pass off a damaged garment.
Go to any craft or sewing store or even a Wal-mart type has it
and get some fusible backing. the kind that you can use with
a household iron cut a piece big enough to seal the whole design
and the hole. this way when noticed later on the inside it doesn't
seem obvious that you were patching a hole, but maybe
just sealing loose threads?
Carefully pull the hole together and use some tape on the front if
needed.
Remember that this type of material is very heat sensitive but with
heat applied
from the back and low temp fusible backing it should work fine and will
hold
the hole together as if it never happened.
If you have one you may be tempted to use a heat press, I would say
"Don't"
We have tried it on polar fleece and it almost always leaves a mark and
tends to crush
the fiber and leave a shine on it, So that is why the lower temp
home based material works very well.
Try it, it may save it for you.

Hi All,
When I was cutting the backing around a design on microfiber I
nicked the material with the scissors leaving a small V shaped cut in a very
noticeable area, is there anything I can do to fix it or should I replace it? I
don't mind replacing it, it's just that it will take a week to get it and
complete the order.
