Ron
Bring the design up in the OS and save it with a new file with the settings
you want to keep. Version 5.07 is different from 4.02. Apparently you can't
save it as the old file if it is already up. What I have take to doing is
saving each one as a new version such as ABCD V1. If I want to save any
changes I incriment up by another .1. So a second change to ABCD v1 would be
ABCD V1.1 I know to use the latest file. Also, depending on the design, your
machine can easliy run 1300 spn without appreciable quality degradation. If
you can't run faster than 700-800 there may be a problem that you need to
look at. I just finished a job where I had horrible machine and design
problems. After the machine was repaired and the design was re-digitized I
found I got better results at 1300 than at 1000-1100. So if there is a moral
to this story it may be: "Go faster first". BTW - THANKS IN A MAJOR WAY TO

Subject: [amayausers] Changing settings

Hey Gang,
we just installed the latest update, Amaya flex and I believe its version
5.something
anyway with out scouring the manual can anyone tell me an easy way to change
the default
speed setting from 1200 to a lower speed. at each start up in the morning
all the machines
set to 1200 which is fine sometimes but we get better results at a speed
closer to 700-800
it doesn't seem to remember where we left it the day before. : )
and also it is reloading the design last sewn on each machine, which may be
feeding in from the
machine buffers but is there a way to have it start every day with a clean
slate?
Thanks in advance for the help
I can call Melco, or do like I'm supposed to and work with the Help files or
Scour the manual,
but you guys are so much more fun.
