[amayausers] Buying your second Amaya

Hey guys,
Just playing catch up with some older e-mails. I know this problem was solved
but I'd like to make this comment with respect to one or more Amayas, cables
and hubs.
One Amaya uses a "Cross Over" Ethernet cable to communicate directly to the PC.
No hubs involved.
Two or more Amayas use "Straight" or "Straight-Thru" Ethernet cables in all
locations from the machines to a hub (other names are "router" or "switch") and
from the hub to the PC.
It's possible that if a customer is ordering an additional Amaya to add to
their shop, human error could cause Melco to think that this Amaya is going out
to the customer as a stand-alone machine and then they might send a "Cross
Over" cable by mistake. So double check this if you are adding an Amaya to
already existing Amayas in your shop.
Also, when buying your first hub, count how many machines you will be
connecting and add one more for the computer and this is how many "Ports" you
will need on your hub. It's always better to buy a hub with a port or two
extra just in case you find yourself buying another Amaya down the line.
Oh and don't plug a cable into the port called the " Uplink" port. This port
is only used to communicate with another hub should you expand later.
