I have no idea if this could be the problem, but since I've been looking at
knife and trimmer adjustments in the technical manual it came to mind. Is
there any reason why your thread presser might not be retaining the bobbin
thread between it and the adjustable fixed knife? Its easy enough to check and
might save a service call.
