Take the letter F. You have 3 blunt ends. You have to digitize zig zag stitches on each end to flatten them down. Then use only the edge walk underlay. Using the 2mm puff foam will give you a very nice loft and make sure that it is the same color as your thread (or I'd go darker if yu can't match it well). Set the presser foot up pretty high. If you do "center Down" you can play with it until it touches but doesn't flatten the foam. The actifeed should be set really high - 20 is probably not too high. And practice on scrap before you commit your hat!
