[afrilex] Re: Very short questions

The statement made by Mr Dion Nkomo is interesting, he has made a very
good observation on how NLUs struggle to produce dictionaries with
government funding. How much funding Mr Nkomo? I hope NLUs are aware
that they have produced poor quality dictionaries - this is feedback
that I am not aware of but we need to take a look at the truth of this
statement for improvement.

Hi Maurice,

I hope I find you well. I have two very short qestions for you regarding
the Oxford dictionaries, I think there are two so far and correct me if
I am wrong, both bilingual treating, first Northern Sotho and English
and second Zulu and English. The first question, how big was the team
that you worked with in the projects? The other question, how long did
it take you to have the dictionaries published?

The reason I am sking this is the way I find the NLUs to be struggling
to produce dictionaries with government funding and, more so, the poor
quality of most of their dictionaries.

I would like to congratulate you on the job that you are doing. I was
looking at the N.Sotho dictionary and I find it of outstanding quality.
Keep on leading the way.

Regards,

Dion.
