Pebbles-XFM is broadcasting the audio-described movie Saving Private Ryan on 22 September at 19:00 UTC (GMT), 8pm UK and 3pm Eastern. A squad of US soldiers is diverted during the D-Day landings to find the last Ryan son left alive. This epic Speilberg movie was acclaimed for it's realistic and frightening portrayal of war. The famous opening 20-minute battle sequence alone during the landings shows the sheer terror and ferosity of battle. Yet, being a Speilberg movie it tells a very human story about a group of ordinary men attempting to complete a mission which they don't fully agree with and stay alive at the same time and whose comradeship is severely tested. The duration is 169 minutes. It can be repeated 4 hours later if requests are sent to the email address below. You need Winamp to listen to Pebbles XFM.
