thanks Judi, I will give these suggestions a try. I know I have done this before and it was late last night when I looked through my notes and tried recovering this information and moving it to the folder that I wanted it in. Did you try pressing alt or alt F, then arrow up and down to the open, press enter or perhaps you should press alt V to get the view menu and see what is checked, you may need to check normal in order to read it. Also I believe in order to move your files, you do want to save to clip board and move to the folder where you want it and paste it there. Hope this helps some. After I opened MS Word, I pressed the alt key and then opened the file menu and at the bottom of it there were the documents that I was missing. I had the document that I wanted to open in focus, however, when I pressed enter on it, it would not open. What am I doing wrong in this regard? I looked at my notes that I have on the subject and I did everything that was explained in the notes. My questions are: 1. How do I open these particular documents? 2. how do I go about sending these documents to the folder where I want them to be, once I get each one opened? (NOTE: Once these documents are opened--individually, of course--do I need to copy them to the clipboard and then paste them into the folder where I want each one to be or is there something else I can do!? Any help would be appreciated. Best regards, Ila
