Jim Schwobel was a long time member of ACWE, including many years of
dedicated service on the ACWE board. He passed away in December 2021
** JIM SCHWOBEL's CELEBRATION OF LIFE **
Friends, family and all kids are invited to a wake in celebration of Jim's
life that includes live music and petanque – his two passions. Please join
us on Sunday, June 11th, 2023, at the Mueller Hangar at the Mueller Lake
Park, 4550 Mueller Blvd, Austin TX 78723, 2:00-4:30pm.
It’s a come and go, casual celebration. Join us when you can and enjoy live
band music, snacks and drinks. You can give the game of petanque a try with
Jim’s friends that play the sport daily. Casual, cool attire encouraged.
Please bring a folding or camping chair and a reusable drinking cup if
possible. There will be an open invitation for sharing favorite stories of
Jim “Tex” with everyone from 2:30-3:30pm.

Austin Polka Band will perform a few numbers. Longhorn Alumni Band members
