Posters will be judged 1-5pm, October 9, 2009. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded that evening at the business meeting at the conference site in Corpus Christi Greetings: The Association for Computer Educators in Texas (ACET) Board of Directors and program committee invite undergraduate or graduate students to complete the Proposal Form located on the Call for Presentation link at http://texasacet.org<http://texasacet.org/>, including a 100-250 word abstract, and send as an email attachement to studentsubmissions@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:studentsubmissions@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> . Examples of appropriate material for student presentations include: technology related challenging class projects, undergraduate or graduate research projects, Master Thesis work, internship reports, and other research experiences. Presentations may be accompanied by a demonstration of the software or system developed by the student. Please keep in mind that all student submissions will be double-blind reviewed and successful applicants will be scheduled for Student Poster-styled presentations. At least one presenter is required to register for the conference by September 15, 2009 in order for the presentation to be scheduled for delivery at the conference. Abstracts of Student Presentations will be published in the Conference Proceedings. Accepted Student Presentations will be judged on the following criteria: Content Quality, Quality of Data, Opportunity for Further Research or Development, Innovative Presentation Technique and Visual Impact, and Relevance to Computing. The student presentation portion of the ACET Annual Conference is designed to provide an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students in computer science, information systems, information technology digital gaming, and related disciplines to present the results of their research or development projects, to meet with faculty and researchers, and to network with their fellow students from other colleges and universities. Student registration is $25 and includes conference attendance as well as lunch and dinner on October 9th.
