You are right, Donna.  i am constantly amazed at the number of people that
should be in the know but aren't.  if we wind up preaching to the choir just
remember that even the best choir has to learn to sing together and learn new
songs once in a while <G>  peggi

Some of them are not.  But I have been surprised at the ones I thought would be
savvy and aren't.  Not everyone connected with kennel clubs or dog clubs or
"in" dogs understands the problem.  And the average dog owner, as we know,
doesn't.  Creates quite a lot of educational opportunities, doesn't it?

I still feel that most of the people you mention, Donna, are quite savvy about
these issues.  The people we need to get are the average pet owner.

All kennel clubs in the state, plus obedience clubs, plus agility groups,
tracking groups and hunt groups have been contacted by ACC at least twice, if
not 3 times in the last 18 months.  By several different means.  Some have
invited us to speak to their membership which we have done.  Others we never
heard back from.

That’s a great idea Peggi (speakers addressing the membership).  I don’t know
if that’s been tried but I’m sure someone here can let us know.

As far as the terrorist reference, I am teasing you.  I agree many of their
methods are terrorist methods but I don’t think “all” shelter workers are AR or
terrorists.

Theresa, the 'terorist ' is my own opinion.  i didn't mean to insinuate that
it is yours or put words in your mouth. forgive me if i left that impression.
i will try to find another description if that term is offensive to anyone.

Have the Kennel and Obedience clubs in the state been individually approached
about a speaker addressing the general membership at one of the monthly
meetings?  i'm fairly new here so don't know what has been tried already.
