Hello list,
Several days ago I posted the question about how to dile directly from an
appointment when the number is part of it. I have experimented with different
entry methods and none of them seem to work. This is a very important feature
for me to have because as a clinical psychologist I need to call my patients
whose numbers appear on my calendar. Could somebody test this feature on his
calendar and tell me how to enter the appointment text including the number and
see if I can make it work?
Here is an example of an appointment that I entered:

When I wrote it with the hyphens it didn't work either.
Your help will be greatly appreciated to solve this problem.

I do recall hearing that some 5S devices were confirmed to have battery issues
and that Apple was exchanging the defective iPhones for new ones. I'm not
sayign that that's what you're dealing with, but if you've got a 5S and are
having to recharge it twice a day, then that might be something you may also
want to look into along with other possible fixes.

Since I am new to the iPhone, I have noticed that the battery life is very
short. I usually have to charge it twice a day. Obviusly my battery is not
totally draned at the middle of the day but I do it in case it happens. I get
about 50% of use in about 6 or 7 hours. Obviusly, this depends of the use that
I put into my iphone. I like to use the radio and the podcasts. I guess this
consumes a lot of battery. Needless to say about Voice Over.
What is the experience of others who use iPhone 5 or 5S?

E-mail the file to your device as an attachment and then ttry double tapping
and holding it. It should then ask you what you want to use to open it.
Downcast should be an option.

I don't know why you can't import your feeds, but the developer of Downcast is
very very responsive and will address any accessibility or other issues you
have.

In my experience, if there is a correctly written phone number, it will say
link and if you just double tap you can call the number.

Are you tapping quick enough? The taps need to be quick like if you were
opening an item.

mail and text messages: there's an edit button, hwere you tap on each you
need to delete, then find the button at the bottom saying delete ## messsages.
2, you might need to use exchange server if your mail provider, provides
that service. I think there is something you can do in iTunes too.
Contacts: you can't! the delete button is buried as deep as they can get
it. Contacts are critical items and are therefore, the greatest protected.
Crap when you end up importing a load of useless ones off Facebook or
whatever, but that's how it is. Tip: check in Outlook so it doesn't put
everyone you reply to, into your contacts.
Ps: really dig your music over there, collect it, the only music I'll dance
to, as far as a 60 year old dances at all!
I like the harp music too, but think that's the Paraguayans.
