I don't like it. If I want to use a braille display, I could just mute my phone in iOS6 and have it be silent. Now, I can turn speech off like before, but muting doesn't help. I have to also rotor to sounds and disable them, an extra few steps I don't feel should be required. There should be a setting to toggle whether or not VO sounds are controlled with the mute status of speech, the system, or none.
