MPC is my default at work but it won't handle some files for me that VLC does
at home.

VLC is good but I personally find Media Player Classic more accessible and
somewhat easier to use. Other than files with DRM, MPC can play all type of
media files out there. I downloaded MPC few years ago and never looked back
since. I believe MPC uses VLC as its core.

Yes, VLC media player will play just about any audio or video file format
you care to throw at it.

Jim

On the recommendation of someone on this list, I use VLC Media Player.

Hi List,

Is there a decent alternative to windows media player? I find this
application quite unsatisfactory and very cumbersome.
All suggestions welcome.
