I would echo Graham's general caution with respect to VISTA at the moment,
although I should add that problems such as they are will resolved as that beta
process goes through.
I brought a VISTA machine the other week, and my comment after all the kefuffle
and argument about hardware spec is that you really want the 2 gig RAM to make
things efficient. It is quite a powerful machine but sometimes things do seem
to occur at less than a face tearing speed despite power and RAM.
Interface accessibility currently with Jaws is not a huge problem as far as the
operating system is concerned, but finding your way around as a seasoned XP
user does lead to some head scratching. Anyone come at this from first PC
perspective may not have this headache.
VISTA Home Premium should be the default home user choice and this will come
under the Jaws standard license.
