Hi Paul,

That would need to include secure voting by text message too, so as not to
disadvantage Deaf, hard-of-hearing and DeafBlind voters. Given that
particular condition, I'd agree.

Best,
Clive

Why not have secure telephone voting, much more accessible to all!

Kind regards,

Paul

Hello Dave,

I agree with you, on the provision that online voting didn't ever
disadvantage those who could not vote on line, because of: their not being
online; their being in computer not-spots; and of course, the process would
need to be fully accessible and usable from the outset.  For example, let's
not have current affairs programmes saying: "You will be able to vote online
at the website which is on your screen now." That did happen on some TV
programmes warning people that they only had two hours to go online if they
hadn't registered to vote.  Now is certainly the time to start phasing in
online voting though, in my view.

Best,
Clive

Online voting is the way forward in my opinion and would certainly result in
a larger percentage of people participating.  Certainly unions have been
pushing for this process to be brought in.

Surely  the letter r  and l  could have been on the actual ballot  paper.

The problem with the plastic  template is:

We can not be sure it's  in the right  position.

Now why  not allow  voting online
