If I understand you correctly, it sounds like your wi-fi is suspect.  Wi-fi 
speeds are often slower than wired, but if seriously slow, can be a tedious 
task to track down.

What make and model of router is it, and where is it situated in relation to 
your laptop?

hi all.
i have a strange problem going on with my router.
when i connect my ethernet cable from my isp to my netbook i get the expected 
speed what i should get but when i put the ethernet cable to the router and 
connect the laptop to internet to vifi i get very slow speed i have done a 
factry reset and configured the router to the proper settings but still the 
problem is not solved
