Simon,
The voice settings are in accessibility in the settings menu. Unfortunately, my
son adjusted it for me, so I can’t give you step by step directions, only that
it’s in their.

tv turned up today, and I had a rather nice surprise.
when I fired it up, did the mute button hold down thing, and found that it
actually started talking to me right away, so no guess work with the menus.
took a bit of working out where I was supposed to go, but got it figured out
quite quickly, and a really useful feature is the "learn tv remote" one, which
is super for finding out what does what.
the set does have bluetooth.
haven't messed about with the browser or apps yet, as if possible, am trying to
get the voice to speak a bit faster than it does, which I haven't found yet,
but thought I would give you that update.

I am reasonably sure it has bluetooth, as I think I remember seeing it in the
specs.
hopefully it should get here tomorrow, but as that is one of my riding days,
it will probably be saturday before I actually try to set it up.

tv?
Hi Simon,
Once the telly is on, press and hold the mute button for a couple of
seconds. This brings up the accessibility shortcuts menu. Voice guide is at
the top of the list, which you should land on by default. Press the ok button
to go into the menu. Here you have only 2 choices, off and on, off is at the
top of the list. Just arrow down once and press the ok button, and your telly
should now start talking. If it does not, check the mute button. At the top
and bottom of every menu there is a little audible tone to let you know that
you are at the end, the menus do not wrap around, so you can always verify
where you are.
Good luck with the new telly. Once you get the hang of it, perhaps you
might let us know if it has bluetooth, if the browser and some of the other aps
are accessible, anso on, so that if folks decide to change to one of the
accessible models, there is some information on a few of them to hand, and
everyone does not have to just to plump for one.
Regards.
Jim.

Subject: [access-uk] turning on voice guide on new SAMSUNG UE43KU6670 tv?
hello all,
have just ordered one of the new SAMSUNG tv sets with voice guide, model
UE43KU6670, as I got a very good deal on it.
what I do need to know if possible is, is there an easy way for a totally
blind person to get the voice guide going from the start?
Simon
