I would not/could not survive without TALKS.

My sentiments exactly Barry, well said!

In personal terms, for me, talks has given me the ability to text other people and read their texts. I can dial numbers, not in my contacts, and know that, I've got it right. I can navigate through the phone's menus and access all phone features I want. I can create my own profile and set ringtones etc. I've been putting notes of interviews, meetings coming up in my calender. i wouldn't even bother doing this if I had to rely on my magnifier. Wouldn't be worth my time.

Some of this I couldn't do at all with talks. Some other tasks I could struggle with using the magnifer to do. I'd rather not struggle myself. I'd rather have something that encourages me to use my phone fully.

It's so easy to use as well. i honestly thought it would take me ages to figure it out, not being a primary screen reader user. Mind you, I wouldn't swap zoomtext for jaws though, lol. Jaws scares me a bit.
