Hi. Yep, its probably your provider's SMTP Server. for example using windows7 and thunderbird, GMail sends in a few seconds for me while my domain emails take around 20 seconds to actually send.

cheers,

Mo.

hi there alex well all i know it's real fast it is the plusnet fibre optic but, it's strange they moved me over to the faster speeds the other day.

i think though you will be right because the sense is using windows ce version six or whatever it is that could be the problem it's like the apex as well just go online with these things and there's loads of website now that you cannot use at all because of the oudated devices we use.

i tried mucking about with the smtp settings but then it just cannot send.
never mind just put up with it strange though if i use my fmail account with the sense it works so much faster.

John, I don't know for sure, but I suspect there's nothing you can do. I
would guess it's the Braiolle Sense that is slow, rather than the
internet. DO you have any idea what you're upload speed is on the internet?

hi all
wonder if anyone has any ideas to speed my email when sending up.

i use plusnet with a pop account on my braille sense but now after i have just upgraded my contract i am using fibre optic i find when sending emails it takes about ten seconds to send. i have tried to change the ports i do think when using outlook it's okay but i am using an imap setting on there.

i tried imap on the sense but it says wrong email information.

thanks for any replies.
