The one I mentioned Barbra you can activate from the handset but you would have to be able to see the keys for that. I can answer etc from the PC. -original message- Subject: [access-uk] Re: skype phones From: "Ibrahim Gucukoglu" <ibrahim_gucukoglu@xxxxxxxx> Date: 06:03:2009 9:24 am Hi Barbra. Well, at the cheaper end of the scale, you can get basic handsets, plug and play which will work with Skype, though you need to use the computer to answer and end calls, dial contacts and phone numbers etc. You can also for anything between 15 and 50 quid get handsets and desk phones, wall mounted jobs and even video phones that connect to your computer via USB and allow you to voice dial contacts, dial using built in keypads, scroll contacts using arrows on the phone like a mobile. It really all depends on what you want, how much your prepared to spend etc. I might also add that you can get cordless models as well, though I don't own one so can't testify as to there accessibility. ----- Original Message ----- From: Barbara Wilson To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 06, 2009 8:44 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: skype phones It's only for Skype, nothing else. And I want USB connection. It depends on what your looking for. Are you just looking for a basic USB corded handset? a desk phone or a cordless model. They all varies and some are just plug and play, some use special software which integrates with Skype, so there is a compatibility issue there as well, you might want to use it with other services as well as Skype so this has to be taken in to consideration.
