Hi,

Laptops with a solid state drive aren't new, but they are (or at least were)
very expensive. I know that Sony offer one, and I'm sure that other
manufacturers do too.

When I looked last year, they tended to be smaller laptops (say 13 inch)
aimed at the business end of the market, which could load up files such as
presentations quickly. This wasn't what I wanted as I was after a laptop
with good internal speakers. Solid state drives weren't included in the
games powerhouses offered by Sony, which I thought was a shame as that would
have made for a brilliant laptop.

Ed

I saw someone at the Freedom Scientific stand who had a laptop with a solid
state drive with 4GB of RAM. I think his name was Eric. Myself Will and Ian
were blown away when we saw it. Are these laptops available and what is
their official title? What I mean is do they come under the Ultra catogory?
Eric ordered his from China.
