Hi Tony,

I visited Sight Village yesterday and saw a really nice mobile with app
specifically designed for visually impaired people, all based on the Android 
phone.  It is called Georgie and I think Sight and Sound are marketing it.
It have nice clear speech and you could customize which features were on the 
home screen.  It may be just what you are looking for.
