I set up my Series 3 myself so I would give it a go, it is doable. It’s a
little bit of a fiddle But maybe this was because I haven’t done it since I set
up the original over two years ago.

hi alister,
you actually do most of the setup on your Iphone rather than the watch.
you would need to turn on voiceover on the watch with a triple click of the
crown, and this takes a while for the speech to load so be patient after
triple clicking.
once you say you want to install the watch manually in the app on your Iphone
you will have to tapon something on the watch to initiate the connection and
then you will get the watch serial number on the screen and you choose the
same number on your Iphone screen and then the watch will display from
memory a 6 digit number which you have to tap into the keypad on the Iphone
screen.
you don't get very long to do this and if you don't get it in in time you
have to start from the begining again.
once you get this number accepted the rest of the setup is all done on the
Iphone.
