In my experience it's not on, one of the touch type settings will be on by
default.  Anyway, you could back up your old phone to iCloud and use it to
install your info on the new one by contactless sign in.  the new iPhone
2020 has a home button I believe, which is brilliant. Will be looking for a
decent contract with my provider.

Subject: [access-uk] setting up a new iphone SE when i purchase one?

HI.
I have a question about setting up a new iphone SE, once i get one.
I am still running the latest version of iOS 12.
I am assuming when the new phone arrives it will be running iOS 13. I am
wondering how people deal with the slide to type function whilst they are
trying to set up their phone.
Is the slide to type option on by default?
if it is, how do you then type in your credentials so you can sign in?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
