Brian No, you get the book as one or more parts. For example, Our Mutual Friend was in five parts, but that is a very long book. Most books come in two parts. They do this so that downloading doesn't take too long. There are four different formats to choose from, depending on the sound quality you want. Format 4 is the best quality. The other three are compressed so that the files are not as large, but the sound quality is not as good. If you have a Book Courier or other MP3 player which you want to use for reading books, it may only support format 4, so do a bit of studying on the site to find out.
