No Brian, it's a lot neater than that. When you buy a program it gets added to your library. Then you go to your library and choose either to listen to the program online (Stream it), or download it to your computer. If you choose the latter, you then choose what Audible format you'd like to download it in; Audible format 1, 2, 3 or4, with Audible format 1 being the smallest in size and Audible format 4 being the largest in size but of a better audio quality. Audible programs are usually downloaded as one file. But some times they are divided in to two or three parts if the program is long, over 10 hours in length or so. Any program you buy from Audible stays in your library even after you download it should you ever need to download it again.

It worth mentioning that you don't have to subscribe to any of their monthly listener programs. You can happily purchase individual items if you wish, but of course, the first option works out a lot cheaper if you're a regular reader.

Lastly , I find their customer support team very helpful even when it comes to questions regarding using your screen reader with Audible Manager.

HTH,
Amro
