[access-uk] olympus DM5 help please

HI
i have an olympus dm5 digital recorder which i've had for about 3 months. last
night it seized up. When i turn it on it produces the audible sound and
displays on the screen "please wait". unfortunately this is as far as it goes.
to turn it off i have to remove the battery. Plugging it in to my computer it
is not recognised at all. has anyone come across this problem and suggest a
solution? i will probably have to call technical support on monday but i'm just
hoping.
