Hi Alex,

Don't do it from the CD, download it from http://www.nokia.com.

All the best

Hi Steve

yes I tried using the CD that came with it and ran into trouble installing
the program hence my enquiry as to whether a cbluetooth device would be
better.

Hi Alex,

Do you have the latest PC Suite, or the one that comes with the CD? If the
CD version, then update it and it should work, though accessibility with
JAWS and Window-Eyes is questionable. Most of it works in Window-Eyes and
JAWS, so long as you do a lot of virtual cursoring or mousing.

By the way, the spelling is Nokia.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] nokkia n70 and access to a desktop pc

Hi all

I thought that it was about time that I explored how to get my N70 to talk
to my desktop, so I tried to see if I could install the Nokkia suite to my
computer so I could use the USB cable that came with it. Big problems,
couldn't get it to work as I've discovered that the Nokkia PC suite doesn't
seem to be accessible using jaws 8, and I managed to crash the phone at the
same time, and needed to take out the battery from the phone and put it back
again so I could reboot the phone.

Ok, here is the question. I want to be able to get my phone to talk to the
computer so that I can transfer files, download ringtones to the phone and
do anything else that may be possible. I am told that this can be done with
a bluetooth dongle of some sort but I don't want to rush out and just buy
anything. Can someone tell me the best route I can go down with some sort
of accessible bluetooth piece of kit I can plug into a USB socket on the PC
and then get my phone to talk to it. Any practical advice on configuring
the device would be appreciated. Thanks for any help.
