1) What version of Vista is on the laptop?
2) Exactly what Version of JAWS 8 do you have? The current
version (certainly on mine) is 8.0.2173U.
3) If Vista has "Home" in the name of it, JAWS Standard
should work. If it does NOT have "Home" in it's name, you
will need JAWS Professional.

I can't get my vista to run with Jaws 8 so I've had to give
my new laptop to my son and stick to jaws 6 and XP so if you
get running please can you tell me the secret as I prefer

If I were to get a laptop with Vista pre-installed,
would I need to upgrade my jaws package? And if so, how much
