Hi Brendan,

I am interested in this, because I too am a regular traveller, and I find
the National Rail site absolutely fine. I also use
http://www.thetrainline.com. I don't really see much inaccessible about
either. The only problem with TheTrainLine is the radio buttons they have
next to each journey. They are not labelled, but a little ingenuity and a
good screen reader and it can be done. Not inaccessible, but this bit is
difficult.

But Adrian's solution is great because you can set regular journeys as
favourites almost. The only thing you would have to change is the date. I
don't think just one site is good for anybody, I think different ways of
doing it, like this, is healthy.

All the best

Hi Adrian,

This is a really interesting technical solution, but...

Surely we don't need yet another train times site on the Web. What we
really ought to have is one site which is accessible to all and which
provides information in a simple and straightforward way. This service is
presumably linking to the National Rail Journey Planner, but why not make
that service accessible in itself? If people who are VI have to use a
different site to the one used by most people, what hope is there for full
accessibility and integration?

I'm not saying the National Rail site is a good model. I'm a regular and
frequent train traveller and I find the site useful but pretty awful to use.

Cheers,

Brendan.
