Andy, you don't need a BT shop for filters. Maplin have them, and I think
Dicksons have them. I think Maplin are the cheaper, though. They do say
that you need one filter for each phone, answering machine or whatever in
your house but I've plugged a double phone socket into the filter and then
plugged my phone and caller ID into that, then I've got another filter for
the A D S L modem. It works just fine.
