I agree that the Blind Shell keyboard membrane can be a bit suspect, mine has
always been that way. As for Cobolt, sorry but I don't rate them highly at
all, they are not clued up on what they sell.
Kind regards,

Subject: [access-uk] blind shell anti virus
Now that the blind shell phone has a web browser does it also have any anti
virus?
Who in their right mind would put any personal details on this without any
security.
My husband has one of these phones.
Last year I sent 3 faulty blind shells back to Cobolt and would never touch one
again.
the first had a replacement membrane as the keeys skipped letters.
This only lasted a few weeks and was replaced.
Second one had the same problem and Cobolt could not find the fault so sent it
back to the manufacturer for diagnostic tests where they found the problem I
described .
Phone 3 arrived this one only had very low volume so off this went too.
Again no one at Cobolt could hear there was any probplem, so I suggested
sending it off for testing again.
Now here comes the final crunch.
The nerd I spoke to who shall remain nameless said they would send it off but
there would be a cost.
When I asked to whom the cost would be, he said it would be me.
So here you can all use your imagination as to what I told him.
I got my refund back.
Also last year I needed to buy a new Victor Reader Stream as the spring that
loads the SD card packed up.
The one I recieved had a fault with the speaker.
It sounded crackly and muffled.
The replacement was fine.
This brings me to the point that not many devices for blind people are of good
quality .
Bring back the good old Nokia phones.
