Hi Alison,
What about these:-
https://www.talkingproducts.com/collections/talking-motion-sensors-recordable-gifts
These are essentially motion censors where you can put your own MP3 files on
them.
So you could record your voice saying “Get out the way”, or anything.
All the best
Steve

I do have a guide dog, but I don’t want to harness her up or search for a leash
everytime I just fancy to sit down. Nor do I really want to pay out seventy-odd
or even forty-odd quid.
One of my drivers used to have a novelty owl in his front garden which hooted
when people passed it. It was a piece of plastic junk, but would be ideal for
what I need.

I think there is an audible device which you can use to find your keys. just
thinking if you've got this device but I think it cost around £40 you could at
least attach a key somewhere on it and then the device would located for you.
I was inclined to say if you had a guide dog, would the Guide Dog find it for
you?
I have not yet taken part in the artificial intelligence research project which
was advertised on one of the email lists though I did sign up for it. The
research is about using a mobile phone app to find different objects for a
blind person using their smart phone. I don't know how much research has been
done on this yet, I understand it's being run by Microsoft. In other words I'm
wondering if there would be a Mobile app which would assist you.

I’m wondering if anyone might have any ideas. I have a bench in the middle of
the lawn which I have the greatest difficulty in finding. The obvious solution
is to move it but it covers two lumps of rock, potential tripping hazards, and
it is near a tree which offers dappled shade on hot days.
Has anyone any ideas on what I can put on it in order to find it?
